Lucilla respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This page explains who owns what within the Lucilla platform, how to report copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international laws, and how to dispute a takedown.

You own the copyright in content you create and post on Lucilla (photos, posts, journals, comments, custom challenge designs, creator content, etc.). By posting, you grant Lucilla a limited license to host, display, and distribute your content within the platform — see our License Agreement, Section 3 for full scope.
If you believe content posted on Lucilla infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. Per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

If your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) by sending the following to social@lucilla.ca:
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original filer obtains a court order against you within 10–14 business days.
Lucilla terminates accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i). Termination decisions consider context, scale, and intent. Users with terminated accounts cannot create new Lucilla accounts.
The Lucilla name, "L" galaxy logo, and related brand elements are registered trademarks of Lucilla Inc. Use of any Lucilla trademark requires written permission. To request a license, partnership, or co-marketing arrangement, email social@lucilla.ca.
Use of third-party trademarks within Lucilla (Apple®, Fitbit®, Garmin®, Solana®, etc.) is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement.
Filing a false DMCA notice or counter-notice is a federal crime under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), punishable by damages including costs and attorneys' fees. If you are not certain whether use of a work is authorized, consult an attorney before filing.
We may update this Copyright Policy as our platform evolves or as law requires. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
